This book contains several chapters that deal with sharia rulings pertaining to biomedical issues which include: determining the beginning and end of human life according to the texts of sharia and the independent reasoning of Muslim scholars; reality of the fetus and the ruling pertaining to using it in organ transplantation and scientific experiments; organ donation in the light of sharia maxims and medical information; the ruling pertaining to abortion in Islamic jurisprudence; and hymen reconstruction surgery in the light of sharia objectives.
