يتضمن هذا المجلد أعمال الندوة التي عقدتها المنظمة الإسلامية للعلوم الطبية في الكويت خلال الفترة 24-26 مايو من عام 1983 حول القضايا الأخلاقية المتعلقة بالإنجاب. وقد ناقش المشاركون من فقهاء وأطباء خلال هذا المؤتمر عددا من القضايا الأخلاقية -من منظور إسلامي- مثل بنوك الحليب والتحكم في جنس الجنين والاستننساخ والهندسة الوراثية ومنع الحمل والإجهاض واطلاع الجنس على عورة الجنس الآخر في الممارسة الطبية. وقد تضمن المجلد عددا من التوصيات التي خرج بها المشاركون في الندوة.

This volume is based on the proceedings of the symposium held by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) in Kuwait during the period 24-26 May 1983 on ethical issues related to human reproduction. During this symposium, both Muslim religious scholars and physicians discussed different issues from an Islamic perspective, including human milk banks, sex preselection, cloning, genetic engineering, contraception, abortion and the male-female relationship in the medical profession. The volume is also appended by final recommendations.
