هذا العمل هو المجلد الأول من السلسلة التي قامت منظمة الطب الإسلامي بنشرها بهدف تزويد الفرد المسلم بالمعلومات الأساسية حول أداء الشعائر الإسلامية حال كون الفرد مصابا بأمراض معينة. ويبدأ هذا المجلد باستعراض الرؤى الإسلامية لمفاهيم الصحة والمرض والتداوي. وتشكل الأمراض المتعلقة بالجهاز الهضمي الموضوع الرئيسي لهذا المجلد الذي تناول أكثر من خمسة وثلاثين مرضا ووصف الأعراض المرتبطة بها مشفوعا بالأحكام الفقهية المتعلقة بمسائل الطهارة والصلاة والصيام والحج وكيف يمكن تطبيق هذه الأحكام في حال الإصابة بأي من هذه الأمراض.

This publication is the first volume in a series published by the Organization of Islamic Medicine and is meant to provide ordinary Muslims with basic information about how to perform the Islamic religious rituals when they have specific diseases. This volume starts with reviewing the Islamic perspectives on the notions of health, sickness and medical treatment. The diseases related to the digestive system represent the main theme of this volume. More than thirty five diseases and their symptoms are described, and followed by the juristic rulings pertinent to ritual purification, Islamic ritual prayer, fasting and pilgrimage and how these rulings can be applied in case of having such diseases.
